On October 26, 2019, Diwali celebration was held at Mtatsminda Park with a concert including Indian and Georgian performances. The University Geomedi students performed traditional Indian dances and together, our Indian and Georgian students, sang tradition Georgian songs. The celebration ended with a firework show.
Rector of our University, Professor Marina Pirtskhalava was awarded a certificate from the chairman of “NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future”, Darpan Prasher, for the support of Indian culture popularization in Georgia.
Diwali is an important celebration in Indian culture, which is celebrated around of the world. The event was held by the Indian Culture Center in Georgia “NGO Cultural Diversity for Peaceful Future”, with the support and sponsorship from University Geomedi.
