On May 20-21 and July 25-26, University Geomedi organized a training program: “The role of nosocomial infection in the development of sepsis and the toxicity of antibiotics used in the treatment of sepsis”.

One of the main problems of modern medicine sepsis and rational antibacterial therapy of nosocomial infection is the most relevant topic for specialists working in critical care medicine. The university undertook the implementation of this program in order to increase the role of the use of international guidelines in the Georgian healthcare system, to raise the awareness of medical personnel in modern antibiotic therapy and sepsis treatment.

The program was provided in the auditoriums of Rustavi Central Hospital, Geomedi University.

The program is accredited by the Medical and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (accreditation number N 0988) and has been awarded 12 CME.

The author and trainer of the program is Alexandre Loladze, MD, PHD.


On 31 July and 1 August, University Geomedi organized a training program: “Local anesthetic toxicity”.

The wide range of local anesthetics requires the physician to have a thorough understanding of the pharmacological properties of the medication, as well as the ability to recognize and manage potential toxicity.

The program is designed to minimize the toxic effects and complications caused by local anesthetics.

The program was provided in the auditoriums of Rustavi Central Hospital, Geomedi University.

The program is accredited by the Medical and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (accreditation number N 1086) and has been awarded 12 CME.
