Artificial Intelligence for the first time in Georgia
University Geomedi
The 21st century is and will continue to be recognized as a century of wonders, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence. At University Geomedi, we closely follow this transformative process and strive to incorporate this modern innovation into medical education.
The university has established the Laboratory of Innovations and Technologies, where we collaborate with the Institute of Cybernetics to address contemporary issues and advancements in medicine. In 2022, the university participated in an international conference in Turkey with the theme “Humanlike Artificial Intelligence – Version 1.” Our commitment to integrating artificial intelligence into the educational process has fostered partnerships with organizations in the United States and India, which possess relevant expertise.
This collaboration has proven successful, revitalizing the syllabus of the European-accredited medical program at University Geomedi through the incorporation of 3D visualization technologies, marking a significant, pioneering milestone in the history of the Georgian education system. Artificial intelligence has become an integral component of our teaching methodologies. An innovative methodology of learning process has been created. Faculty and students have received training to adapt to these advanced technologies with the support of our partners. The Laboratory of Innovations and Technologies continues to develop in this direction.
I congratulate the entire university community and our international partners on this remarkable achievement. For the first time in Georgia, artificial intelligence technologies have been successfully implemented at University Geomedi.
