1. Teaching University Geomedi LLC is announcing an open competition for the position of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, and Assistant Professor at the Faculties of Dentistry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Medicine (for Georgian and English language single-cycle medical program).

A) A person with a doctorate or an equivalent academic degree who has at least 6 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work may be elected to the position of professor for a term of 7 (seven) years.
A person with a doctorate or equivalent academic degree with at least 6 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work, experience of the last 9 years of clinical work, as well as a state certificate of the relevant specialty of clinical discipline may be elected to the position of Professor in Clinical training for a term of 7 (seven) years.
B) A person with an academic degree of Doctor or an equivalent degree with at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work experience may be elected to the position of Associate Professor for a term of 7 (seven) years.
A person with an academic degree of Doctor or equivalent degree with at least 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work, experience of the last 5 years of clinical work, as well as a state certificate of the relevant specialty of clinical discipline may be elected to the position of Associate Professor in Clinical training for 7 (seven) years.
C) A person with a doctorate or an equivalent academic degree may be elected to the position of Assistant Professor for a term of 3 (three) years.
A person with a doctorate or equivalent academic degree who has at least 5 years of experience in clinical work, as well as a state certificate of the relevant specialty of the clinical discipline can be elected to the position of Assistant Professor in Clinical training for a term of 3 (three) years.
D) A doctoral student (a person studying in a doctoral program) may be elected to the position of an assistant for a term of 3 (three) years.
A doctoral student (a person studying for a doctorate) in a clinical field who has a state certificate in the relevant specialty of the clinical discipline may be elected to the position of Assistant in Clinical training for a period of 3 (three) years.
2. The person willing to participate in the competition is obliged to submit the following documents in compliance with the defined terms and conditions to the competition committee:
A) Application (application can be submitted on the spot or electronically by the e-mail of the Head of the Human Resources Management Office: tamar.soziashvili@geomedi.edu.ge . Application form can be downloaded here

B) a copy of the identification document (passport, ID card);
C) a copy of the document(s) certifying the academic degree (a document issued in accordance with the legislation on education and/or recognition of a scientific degree, if any) and a state certificate of the relevant medical specialty in the clinical field;
D) a document reflecting work experience issued in accordance with the rules established by the legislation (certificate, copy of employment records, etc.);
E) a document certifying pedagogical and scientific activities;
F) CV (in Georgian and English);
G) Syllabus in Georgian and English (syllabus is not required for the position of assistant; syllabus in English is not required for the faculties of Dentistry and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation);
H) two photos in electronic (CD) format;
I) List of scientific works published during the last 10 years, participation in scientific conferences and symposia.
J) In order to hold an academic position at the Faculty of Dentistry and Medicine (English language educational program), the contestant must submit an English language certificate (B2 level) or take an English language test.
K) Concept of scientific-research work.
L) In order to hold an academic position in the clinical field, a contestant who does not work in the contracting clinics of the University must submit a letter of consent from the head of the multi-profile clinic where the study process will take place.
M) Certificate of conviction for a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability.
3. In order to participate in the competition for the academic position, the contestant must declare his / her consent to the affiliation with the University in advance, and after being elected to the academic position, he/she must sign a written agreement with the Teaching University Geomedi LLC.
4. The competition committee verifies the compliance of the submitted documents with the requirements. In case of incomplete submission of the documentation, the application is not accepted and registered.
5. In order to hold an academic position at the Faculty of Dentistry and Medicine (English Language Education Program), a contestant who fails to provide a valid English language certificate (B2 level) must pass an English language test.
6. The competition will be announced on July 21, 2021.
7. The deadline for document submission is August 25, 2021, till September 3, 2021, weekdays from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm;
8. Test in English will be conducted on September 6, 2021, from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
9. Interview on the concept of scientific research work to be held on September 7, 2021, from 10.00 to 17.00.
10. The results of the competition will be announced on September 8, 2021.
11. The deadline for appealing the results of the competition is set for September 9, 2021, at 17.00; Appeals Committee will discuss the complaints on September 10-13, 2021.
12. The person in the academic position will be selected according to the points accumulated according to the rating evaluation criteria.
1. Teachers with pedagogical experience score corresponding to the number of years of work.
2. Scientific article (during the last 10 years): 3 points for each article published in a peer-reviewed journal.
3. Monograph in the relevant field (during the last 10 years) -20 points;
4. Participation in scientific conferences (during the last 10 years):
A) Participation in an international scientific conference – 10 points
B) Participation in the regional scientific conference – 3 points
5. Interview on the concept of scientific-research work – 5 points
