An Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) was Conducted at the Faculty of Dentistry

Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) format for final exams has been successfully implemented at the faculty of Dentistry of Teaching University Geomedi since 2020. The examination is conducted in the University’s dental phantom laboratory and university dental clinic, where 11 “stations” are positioned. Students’ theoretical knowledge and clinical skills are assessed by examiners who are certified by the University of Leeds. Objectively Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education and the World Health Organization as one of the core standards of medical education and aims to assess a student’s theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.
